Mission Statement
The CRESP Center for Transformative Action is a catalyst for transformative social change-- cultivating and supporting change makers who have pattern-breaking ideas that solve social problems and mobilize others to action.
To this end we provide programming in two categories:
CTA Project Partners: Our Project Partners are system changing social entrepreneurs to whom we provide ready non-profit status, business services, and a network of like-minded innovators for sharing and learning best practices.
CTA Strategic Initiatives: Recognizing that social entrepreneurs and change makers find and renew their calling through transformative moments, our Strategic Initiatives are designed to open spaces for these to occur. Using experiential methods, these initiatives evoke honesty, empathy, courage, collaboration, creativity, insight, and direct actions that lighten the burdens of the world. Our current Strategic Initiatives for cultivating transformative change makers are:
Education in Nonviolent Communication
The White Allies Discussion Group for Dismantling Racism
Performing Arts for Social Change
Student Social Entrepreneurship at Cornell
The Nascent Dorothy Cotton Institute |
