Mission Statement

The Durland Alternatives Library is dedicated to providing free and open access to materials expressing viewpoints and information not readily available through mainstream publications and mass-media sources. We are committed to providing information and educational materials to underserved and incarcerated people.

28A $5 Pays for periodicals focused on small scale renewable energy production and alternative homebuilding technologies.
28B $10 Provides postage for 3 packages of educational books to incarcerated individuals nationwide.

Transform a prisoner’s life with 1 year of services, including writing, art, and history instruction.

Develops the book and DVD collection on sustainable, local agricultural-available to all members of FLLS.
