Mission Statement

The Mental Health Association in Tompkins County is committed to developing and supporting the active involvement of ordinary people (including providers, family members and recipients) in all aspects of mental health; these include the definition of needs, the promotion of community and the provision of services. We also support the human and civil rights of people who use mental health services, and will educate the community on all perspectives concerning mental health and mental health disabilities.

Gifts
15A $5 Will provide a healthy meal for two individuals at our Wednesday
dinner. This weekly dinner gives participants an opportunity to socialize, share
experiences and learn from their peers.
15B $10 Will provide one Comfort Bag to a child/adolescent who has
been admitted to the Cayuga Medical Center Behavioral Unit for inpatient care.
This canvas tote bag includes a soft blanket and age appropriate books and
games.
15C $20

Will provide an hour of advocacy services to an individual who is
facing difficulty obtaining basic needs or services.

15D $50
Will provide the children enrolled in our Saturday Recreation Group a month of snack breaks.These nutritious snack breaks offer the children a healthy way to maintain their energy throughout the day.
