Mission:

Better Housing is a not-for-profit organization that works to improve the housing of low- and moderate income residents in Tompkins County. We strive to ensure that no person in Tompkins County is without a safe, adequate and affordable place to call home.

 

Gifts:

$5 Contributes to an emergency fund for seniors who cannot buy materials, making it possible for them to get help through the home repair program.

$10 Helps install a wheelchair ramp, railing or step repair so a disabled or elderly homeowner can live in his home independently.

$25 Installs a grab bar on the wall of a senior’s bathtub so she can shower safely.

$40 Provides a safety inspection and hour of labor, providing information and repairs that a senior needs to feel more secure in her home.

$____ You may also make an unrestricted gift to Better Housing of at least $5.00 to help alleviate the housing crisis and bring more homes within reach to Tompkins County’s seniors and families.
